In big format Photographs (200 to 150 cm), tiny Polaroids, texts and Objects the new
found traces of the Lost Gods of Üetliberg are presented for the first time. Different
maps show the places of this archaeological milestone. Profound research reveals that
traces of the Gods can be found in old Swiss history books.

Ancient -ish…
The ZÜRCHER OYLMP is an ongoing multidisciplined Art Project. It evolves around the fictional mythology of the Gods of Üetliberg, an „ancient“ God-Family based on one of the main hills surrounding Zurich. I initiated the project with various questions in mind.
First of all - who owns history? Who is entitled to frame thepast and therefore is able to influence and shape parts of theidentity of citizens of certain regions and cultures of the world. Although the Zürcher Olymp characters, masks and tales are fictional, they are deeply connected to the region of the Üetliberg and its spirits because they were build and designed directly on the mountian. Now they are part of the present history of Zurich. I‘m curious to see them digging their roots in the history of the City and start to shape identy themselves.
The various parts and steps of the projects always cite scientific proof and mechanism in a humorous way. But still each of them is a meaningfull piece of art. With each stage I explore new forms and mediums. The Zürcher Olymp is my vessel to create new layers and accociations around Questions of Identity.
